The Tax990 Commitment The Tax990 Commitment: We do everything in our power to help you get your return IRS-approved. See How

I paid for my 990 upfront and filed Form 8868 at no extra cost, but the extension was rejected. What should I do?

If your Form 8868 was rejected, don’t worry—you can correct the issue and retransmit it at no additional cost. Since you’ve already paid for your 990 filing, your complimentary extension benefit still applies. We’ll guide you through the steps to fix the error and resubmit the extension promptly.

Note: If the IRS rejects your Form 8868 due to errors and the filing deadline has passed, you’ll still have 5 calendar days (known as the perfection period) to fix the issues and retransmit. You won’t be subject to late filing penalties if you submit the corrected extension within this window.
