Why can’t I copy information from previous years’ forms?

A couple of possible reasons you can’t copy form data from previous tax years are:

• Previous tax year information can only be copied for forms 990-EZ, 990, and 990-PF. For any other forms, this feature is not supported.
• If the previous year's tax form was not accepted by the IRS, then the information from the previous tax year cannot be copied to the current tax form.
