Have questions? We've got you covered!
How can I copy my previous year's information to the current tax year?

The Copy Return feature will copy certain information from your previously filed return and prefill it on your new return. This helps to simplify your filing and make the process more efficient.

Note: This feature applies to Forms 990, 990-EZ, and 990-PF, regardless of where your previous year's return was filed. If the return was accepted by the IRS, Tax990 will automatically retrieve the information from the IRS registry.

Follow these steps to copy data from a prior year's 990 return to the current one:

Step 1: Log in to Tax990 and select the organization for which you are filing.

Step 2: Choose ‘Form-Based Filing’ to avail the Copy Return feature.

Step 3:
You’ll be directed to the Copy Data page, where some data is copied automatically, while other data can be copied manually as required. You can review, edit, and adjust the remaining data as needed.
Once done, click ‘Copy Data to Current Tax Year’ to proceed.

Now, complete the remaining sections and proceed with filing your return with the IRS.
