Yes, Tax 990 allows e-file for prior years, but only for two prior years. That's because the IRS Modernized e-File system we use to file 990 series forms electronically only accepts filing for two prior years.
For the current tax year 2022, Tax 990 will allow prior-year filings only for the tax years 2020 and 2021.
