What is Form 990-EZ?

Form 990-EZ is filed by tax-exempt organizations, nonexempt charitable trusts, and section 527 political organizations to report revenue, expenses, assets, liabilities, activities, and certain other information to the IRS. The IRS will use this information to make sure that the organization doesn’t misuse its tax-exempt status.

Generally, Form 990-EZ is filed by organizations with gross receipts <$200,000 and assets < $500,00.
