What information can I copy from the previous year's 990-EZ return?

When filing your 990-EZ with us, you can copy certain information from your prior year's return to your current year's return directly from the IRS registry. This includes the following:

Header:

Item A - Calendar year.
Item F - Group Exemption Number.
Item G - Accounting Method.
Item J - Tax-exempt status.
Item K - Form of organization.

Part I:

Line 19 - Net assets or fund balances at the beginning of year.

Part II: 

Line 22 Col A - Cash, savings, and investments for beginning of the year.
Line 23 Col A - Land and buildings for beginning of the year.
Line 24 Col A - Other assets for beginning of the year.
Line 26 Col A - Total liabilities for beginning of the year.

Part III: Statement of Program Service Accomplishments

Part V: Other Information

Line 41 - List the states with which a copy of this return is filed.
Line 42a - Books are in care of details.
