How to request the taxpayer’s signature manually?

Instead of requesting the Taxpayer’s e-sign, you can request them for a wet signature. Follow the steps below to request the Taxpayer’s wet sign.

Step 1: In the e-file signature authorization page, click the ‘Other Options’ tab placed beside the e-sign Form 8879-TE tab. 

Step 2: You can either download and print the form to share with the taxpayer or send the form via email so that they can download and print it to sign.

After that, you can upload the signed form using the respective option.
